either way i'd personally reccomend going through with godot; you got this !

although its been a while since ive done anything game dev wise, i dont think itd get any easier then godot honestly. like lets say you went to Unity; that program is awful for 2D stuff, coming from experience. Unreal isnt a good option for 2d stuff either. no idea about the alternatives though
