I really liked this film. Also really liked it showed how gross the typical NE winter is after the fresh snow is gone.

Remember there are like 4 getting depending on who he's married to and for much his brain is melting from she and fame.

I can't find a good core but various Canadian car websites say Canada didn't reach majority one car per household until the 1950s. Is this true? Seems like a fact that's getting cited everywhere without a census source.
Still surprisingly late if true

Dems often interpret the fact that Reps just pass their insane plans without any real debate. This sometimes works for simple things they want, but often blows up b/c they didn't have the chance to think things through.

ACA appeal would've happened but for McCain asking "what is the replacement?"

If we don't debate, we're at risk of passing really dumb funding plans. If we do debate, people get mad at our choices. No way out really.

Slightly off, I think it's that the US was the only country rich enough to have mad car ownership by 1920. England didn't hit 50% of household with one car until the 70s, 50 years after the US

The American elite aren't entirely to blame, the American masses are also bad

what the hell did I just write.

Uh, it would be 'fun' to be on a gold standard in a world with space mining?

So we need the 7 or L extension you think?

Why is the Kennedy blvd. Project impossible? Seems like a pretty good rider/cost ratio

The bleakest bit is that an Atlas/Bloomberg poll showed that the US was one of the American countries least supportive of a US intervention in Venezuela. Lots of LatAm countries had support in the poll.

Trump’s Move on Venezuela Splinters Region Over Possible Strike
As Donald Trump steps up his targeting of Venezuela, the region’s fragmented governments are failing to agree on any joint response to rein him in.

The bad stuff about Trump I was hard to explain and often sounded like "bleepman and zork have revealed Trump didn't follow procedure!x the bad stuff in Trump II is "the secret police are here and he did not make it 2019 again by science or magic"

It's easy to think of an early 90s example, probably Nirvana, and then some girl or boy group for the happy late 90s. Bush, eh I'm divided. Really nothing that gets all 3 for the Obama era

It's really a top 10 80s song for being very good, extremely 80s in sound, and extremely 80s in content

This one's interesting b/c it shows how much of core Seattle is walk commuters. Building lots of tech campuses right downtown near housing is good!

Do Germans say /jufo/ like danes? Or do they pronounce it as an acronym?

Ossetians are probably descended from scythians and are in the caucuses. It's closes relative is probably Wakhi in Afghanistan, although admittedly the literature is pretty confused on this, Wakhi might not be.

Languages were just flying around the steppes for millenia
November 20, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Well they had some pretty far flung speakers until recently. Georgia had Greek speakers into the 90s (they show up on caucus language maps, but wiki has some references that they've all left). The Moghols were Mongolian's in Afghanistan until the 70s!
November 20, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Eh I mean the scythians were clearly in the and world. Kushan was clearly related, started by writing in Greek before using Bactrian. There's a lot of religious continuity through Buddhism

Hard to say. We know so little! We have some coins, statues, a few references in buddhist sutras. Mysterious group
