the last crackship i remember seeing was kjd/jesus maybe three three years ago, and the fic merely gained scrutiny and some harassment (and readers surprised by how much they liked it). i wasn't around yet when the infamous bbh/oba-ma crackship started (2014...?) so i wonder where this one will go

the sentiment of fans realising they only cared about their bias seems to be a prominent one these days. also wonder how this and other fans claiming they looked their unhappiest ever are compatible in any way (they appear very regular to me though i haven't watched group content, short clips aside)

there's no workaround, locking comments to registered users will prevent comments from hate bots (just not scam comments) which are always guest comments. the hate bots use the names of actual ao3 users in order to sow discord, but they do not actually come from whoever's username they appropriated

quite possible! i do sympathise in that case. in my anecdotal experience, i've seen quite a few (unrelated) genai texts right next to human-written fic, and especially in rare pair tags there seems to be a preference for the genai text ;-;
