Nothing the U.S. did last night would prevent Iran from supplying IED components to whoever wanted them.

The U.S. shouldn’t have been in a place that exposed them to Iranian IEDs starting in 2003.

I think she should sue CBS, since they’ve proved they like to pay.

I get it… but the result was the Union just chose not to fight to win the peace.

Reese & Clark aren’t the problematic ones. I know fans are gonna do what they do for whatever their motivations are (for good or ill).

But media who cover the league (and who know who the best players actually are) don’t have keep talking about the fan favorites at the expense of the best.
May 26, 2025 at 1:41 AM
And Stewart, Collier, and Wilson are IN their primes. Clark & Reese should get better after having had a season to rest and work on their games, but until they do we shouldn’t be focused on them.
May 26, 2025 at 1:35 AM
Magic & Bird as rookies were each top 15 players. Clark was right at top 20, and Reese about 30. Bird & Magic had significant impact in the playoffs, Clark & Reese little/none. They only compare in terms of fan attention, and that’s really about Clark.
May 26, 2025 at 1:34 AM
In context, “that good” is at the level of Wilson, Stewart, and Collier, since I’m saying they should have more attention than Clark and Reese. That isn’t a criticism.
May 26, 2025 at 1:20 AM
What criticism… that they aren’t as good as the best players in the league? That they aren’t as good as rookie Bird & Magic?

Both can be criticized, but where did I criticize them?
May 26, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Fair argument about Clark bringing eyeballs like Magic & Bird. I don’t think Reese is driving attention like that - she has a following, but she’s just the unfortunate foil to Clark for most.

But talking so much about a player who isn’t that good (yet) isn’t healthy for the growth of the league.
May 26, 2025 at 1:04 AM
The point is that neither of them are top players. Talking about Clark that way is talking about her potential at best.

If you compared to the NBA, focusing on Clark would be like ignoring Shai & Jokic and focusing on Cade Cunningham - deserves attention but not over Stewart, Collier, or Wilson.
May 26, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Neither is on the level of even young Bird and Magic.

If you wanted to talk about someone in that way, the players to talk about would be A’ja & Breanna. That’s how it’s obvious that something other than basketball is driving all this attention.

That crappy book ain’t gonna sell itself.
May 24, 2025 at 11:47 AM
Yep - same dynamic happens in industries that have unpaid internships at entry level - for example mostly wealthy guys wind up as football coaches because only they could afford to start coaching on a graduate assistants “salary”.

Certainly if nobody opposes them, they can.

If they are allowed to suspend habeas corpus they’re gonna suspend elections anyway. Who could stop them from doing one if they’re allowed to do the other?

It wasn’t even allowed during the Civil War, and that SCOTUS wasn’t exactly liberal in ideology.

In addition to being morally repugnant, this clown is just wrong on the history.

May 5, 2025 at 8:47 PM
So you think they’re gonna monitor the wastewater from each house? And they’re gonna go inside the building to monitor each apartment? And then they’re just gonna give up on women living in college dorms?

No- they’re setting up a case to ban contraceptives using environmental law.

Keeping his powder dry for 2028
May 5, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Not to co-sign this nonsense, but just to be clear: they intend to monitor for the drug as a precursor to banning it due to environmental impact of the waste hormones in birth control harming wildlife.

They probably aren’t planning to monitor individual wastewater streams to see who is using BC.

This has nothing to do with the Public Broadcasting Corp, but CNN should have no obligation to broadcast his often repeated lies.

Congress controls their funding. They just set the structure so that its operations are not part of the Executive Branch.

Congress could change it, but they don’t have the votes in the Senate for cloture, and it would be hard to claim restructuring public television is subject to reconciliation.

Era? LeBron isn’t gonna play long enough for there to be an era. And if he does play, he’s gonna make too much on the cap to put together a team that can be playoff competitive.
