Ugg... the astrobabble must really confuse U true believers...

For those lacking basic awareness, just because the moon is less visible when it is in Earth's shadow, it's still there, just as close as ever

and it still has no interest or influence on your relationship sector

Also terrible physics

Yes!

Sadly some wealthy Dems are also complicit in the ongoing class war & CW distraction

Please consider the graph below showing almost no rise in real income for the working class in 50+ yrs

Low info voters desperate 4 change are part of reason for rise of MAGA fascism

need Dems 4 wrking class

Vote Dems because GOP is worse, is the same argument I've heard my whole life

Trump was not elected x2 simply due to the racists & misogynists in the US

Dems not delivering the actual economic relief many Ams need
complicit in ongoing war on working class

2 many Dems bought off w/ AIPAC & corp $
December 21, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Dems will take control of Congress & the WH in the coming yrs
MAGA fascism is failing

However, if we still have self-interested, AIPAC & corp funded Dem leadership, like Schumer/Jeffries/Kain/Shapiro/Garland we may be facing another fascist movement before long

We need better Dem leaders

It's a perfect time to discard antiquated divination schemes developed by cultures that did not understand what planets are, how orbits come about, the shape of Earth, or have the ability to accurately record time and location on the planet.

Astrobabble should be relegated to the dustbin of history

Good try...

December 21, 2025 at 4:26 AM
Ugg... I agree fully

I'm seeing way too much Ai content from students
Many seem to feel fine about outsourcing their education
December 21, 2025 at 4:16 AM
Yea alarming!
The sophisticated Ai cheaters ask for essays crafted from the perspective of a junior in college with characteristics x,y, & z

I suspect the fields that attract people who seek money/power vs insight (e.g. law, med, bus, econ) will host the 1st generation of graduates w/ no actual ed
December 21, 2025 at 3:17 AM
Interesting... I'm seeing them in the humanities faculty more

Glad that my STEM colleagues are at least dubious if not alarmed
December 21, 2025 at 3:08 AM
I've seen this problem among some students

For now, at least in the classes I teach, 1 cannot pass just using Ai
but the future of ed is looking dim

Educators are looking for ways of delaying the time until we begin getting graduates who completely coopted their learning to Ai
December 21, 2025 at 3:06 AM
So Agree!

Ai is also undermining student learning
some students rely on it for everything, undermines class discussions

That said, met an English prof who seemed ready to vote for an AI, it was sad

My sense if one cannot explain the basic principles & failings of neural nets one should not use Ai

The plastic petrochemical industry propaganda is almost as ubiquitous as the plastic waste itself

This is the 2nd major wave of ecosphere threatening environmental propaganda launched by the climate denying fossil fuel industry

Thank you for this!

This gives me some vicarious joy

Reminds me of my own rare but occasional vindication for maintaining several cord boxes in spite of the fact that family members are simply perplexed by my "hording".

It hurts to see this...
If this is not a bot, it is a harbinger of a dystopic future

I've also had students tell me that maps are outdated because their phones can navigate for them

Maps are, of course, able to portray all forms of geographical data in a way that is otherwise unobtainable.

Yes! AIPAC and others are using false charges of antisemitism against anyone who dares to criticize the apartheid state's genocidal aggression.

Consider this outrageous campaign against a pro-human rights teacher

Yeah, I also quit following this account.

If people on bsky want to look at AI images that's there choice

but AI is an environmental & social disaster (water, energy, jobs, & education)

I won't support accounts that detract from the real beauty of the natural world to support AI content

Hansen has not gotten the attention he deserves and that is in part because he's not sugar coating our likely future.

The climate sensitivity factor (how much Temp rises w/ increases in GHG) looks to be much higher than most climate models reflect
December 20, 2025 at 4:46 PM
The general trend has been the GOP successfully occupies a right wing perspective (e.g. Reagan's trickle down economics)

Dems respond w/ shifting closer to the "center" (e.g. B Clinton's neoliberalism, H. Clinton shuts Bernie out of DNC)

GOP slides further to the right (MAGA fascism)
December 20, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Agreed!
Part of the reason for the rise of MAGA fascism is that Dem leadership has been complicit in the exploitation of the working class

After generations of no rise in real wages & living check to check, many poorly informed Americans voted for the change candidate in 2024

Dems must do better
