Gradually as the sky whitened a dark line lay on the horizon dividing the sea from the sky and the grey cloth became barred with thick strokes moving, one after another, beneath the surface, following each other, pursuing each other, perpetually.

For me it’s this small piece I ripped from the wall of The Black Ark and stuck in my back pocket in 2013. Has lived in my studio since, often travels with me to shows, I can always look at it and ask “what would Scratch do?” The energy coming off this thing is insane, my most precious possession.
