Knives Out was good and Glass Onion was awful so I went into Wake Up Dead Man feeling like it could go either way, but I'm pleased to report that I really enjoyed the film and recommend watching it. Two out of three movies in a franchise not sucking is a pretty good track record!

The third Chainsaw Man popularity poll results! Yoshida made 8, that's respectable. I'm pleased. Absolutely not surprised Reze got number one, nor am I surprised that Beam and Angel Devil placed so high (the movie ruled). A little pissed Yoru made it to the top ten and not Asa.

This isn't anger directed at things like battle shonens, thinking of this as a critique of fictional genres is a mistake. No, it's instead it's very pointed and direct criticism of people who cheer for war like it's a movie.

When I first saw Wicked on stage I remember thinking the first act was more impressive than the second act, but "Wicked: For Good" made me realize just how truly boring act two really is. If the color beige made a noise it would sound like "As Long As You're Mine".

"The Summer Hikaru Died" can be translated as "The Summer The Light Died" since Hikaru's name means light. So the story is one where the sun sets like the slowly fading colors on volumes 1-7, but then returns as a sunrise in volume 8.
