The diaeresis totally changes the pronunciation 😭
(In English, two dots over a vowel is called a diaeresis and indicates that the vowel should be pronounced separately, not as a diphthong. Naïve and Zoë are examples of words/names that use it. It's mostly been phased out of the language though)
