4 layers of black stain, 4 layers of various walnut stains, 4 layers of tung oil and 4 layers of wax later: I’m really really scared to drill the final pieces into place.

If you have a UV map view superimposed with the faces, you can do a lot of early error detection. far more if you can visualize double lines and normals.

Still shocked by what a killer album it is, and that I only found out about it in the 2010s

Most Fender-matching CADs are available online, a CNC shop will accept a CAD and slab of wood (but won’t cure or roast it, which is a shame). @nitzunitzu.bsky.social designed the scratchplate and control hardware from datasheets. All of this shows up at your door for only 5x retail cost

(said amp was probably not really 120w, as it had 2xEL34, so possibly 50-100W IRL, but it was still WAY TOO LOUD for a rehearsal room and most cabs I had access to)

yes, I have avoided valves @ home since my teenage band’s 120w plexi-type amp caused nuisance to no end, and really enjoy the tiny Yamaha THR amps, but since starting to play with others again, I need something bigger, and wondering whether I should get an FRFR or something like the Harmony 5W amps

NYC apartment question: is the 7W mode quiet enough? (I tend to avoid British preamps because of low overhead, so this is a question about the power stage)

Missing it this year, but please accept remote applause from a longtime fan of your work.
