My process, in a nutshell: I drew these in ink, then painted with watercolor. I then scanned the artwork & used Photoshop to cut apart & rearrange each element into repeating patterns. Creating/composing patterns is a bit like solving a puzzle with no concrete answer, but I really enjoy it! 🎨

Here's a detail zoom-in. I used Prismacolor colored pencils for the color on this piece. Slowly blending rainbow gradients with soft colored pencils is so satisfying! 🌈✍️

I set up these notecards as four to a standard 8.5x11 inch size sheet of paper. Just print, cut apart on the lines, and color! If you're mailing, they fit nicely in a standard A2 envelope. 💖✍️

Blanketflower (Gaillardia pulchella in this case) have become my favorite wildflowers! They're one of the few that usually keep right on blooming through the dry season in central FL.

The Stegosaurus shape started as one of my ink drawings. I adapted it to be laser cut from wood. After carefully sanding, adding a hanger on the back, etc, then it was time for the fun part: PAINT. 🎨🖌️

Here's another angle & Stan's skull. From what I can gather, I believe these were the original fossils on display when I visited in 2011, but Stan has since been sold.

Here's Stan the T. rex at the Museum at Black Hills Institute in Hill City, South Dakota. Despite the controversy, this place was pretty incredible to visit.
