ICE Posts My wife and I recently found out that my sister, who lives in Chicago and is a U.S. citizen, was almost abducted by ICE agents when walking out of a store. We were told she was just walking out of a store, and ICE just came up to her and tried taking her away. However, some brave individuals from the store came out and were able to get her away from the ICE agents. Then she was able to run to her car and get away. I don't know what happened afterwards, but I want to not only thank those brave individuals who saved my sister, but to thank everyone in Illinois for not accepting what ICE is doing and standing up for each other.

NATIONAL FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE IL State FOP Condemn Reports that Chicago Police Officers Were Barred fromAssisting ICE Agents WASHINGTON, D.C. - Patrick Yoes, National President of the FOP, & Chris Southwood, President of IL State FOP lodge, were shocked and appalled at reports coming out of Chicago that commanding officers barred local law enforcement from assisting ICE while they were surrounded by protestors. "Details are still emerging, but it appears that officers from the Chicago Police Dept were ordered not to assist ICE while they were physically threatened by what appeared to be an angry mob," Yoes said. "Let me be clear, both the National FOP & IL FOP believe that when an officer calls for assistance, you answer, no matter what." The Trust Act is an IL State Law that generally prohibits local law enforcement agencies in IL from participating in immigration enforcement. Per DHS, ICE agents have faced a 1000 percent increase in violence since the start of the year. Government officials in Chicago, which classifies itself as a sanctuary city, have repeatedly pushed back against ICE operations, leading to a breakdown of local and Federal cooperation. "The number one unwritten rule in law enforcement is that we respond to any calls from officers in distress," Southwood said. "What would have happened if the local police were facing threats and nearby federal officers were told not to assist? Whether you agree about immigration enforcement or not, when a law enforcement officer is in trouble, nothing should stand in the way of fellow officers rendering assistance." "Now more than ever, police officers need to band together in order to protect our brothers and sisters who wear the badge," Yoes said. After they rifled through all my belongings, read my personal journal, and confiscated my phone and computer, I had to explain to them that the @FreeStateNH is a non-violent, peaceful libertarian movement that builds community, culture and political change. We were invited to New Hampshire in the early 2000s by the Governor of the state. We reject violence as a path to creating change. In detail, I had to explain the nature of the Defend the Guard movement and assure them that I was not part of a violent extremist group seeking to raise a militia for insurrection against the government. At one point during my detention, I asked for clarification on what rights I had here as a U.S. citizen and was told that they did not need a warrant for anything in my possession, including all my electronic devices. They eventually let me go. Truth be told, I am shaken up and in shock right now.

Picked four cucumbers, the first one on top I forgot and is bigger than the other three. The other three are about the size you’d see in a grocery store. All are green and have typical markings. A bowl of red, yellow, green bell peppers, banana peppers, jalapeños, shishitos, and habeneros.
