A friend invited a group of us over to learn how to make soap! We started with “melt and pour.” Pretty, and they smell like Red Hots which makes me very happy.

Today I revisited a failed experiment and made it a little better. I’m… pleased? #art
So. This started as a very loose and light watercolor portrait of a woman framed tight with her shoulder and neck all oriented to the bottom left and cartoon black marker on top. It was not good. Today I added darker watercolor pencil and interacted with the black line a bit, and added purple marker to the black to soften it. She now looks a little more expressive and my goal of watercolor + cartoon is less nightmarish.

This is… not my best, but is an accurate representation of what was happening while I was TRYING to PAINT if you just get your BUTT out of my FACE.

This was during my annual media organization! This is my therapy office, with my beloved concrete table so clients don’t have to worry about making a mess. Usually it’s very serene and clean but not this day. 😅
