Seeing my work in a gallery setting really brings it to life. Clean walls and sharp lines give the piece space to breathe, allowing structure, movement and colour to take centre stage. Calm, confident, and quietly powerful.

This new piece, inspired by the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, is really about time, layers and letting things settle. I worked through the five colours of the Olympic rings, allowing each one to gently change the feel of the work as it evolved.

Sneaky preview of my new piece inspired by the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Loving how it’s evolving I’m in that “less is more” stage, letting the paint dry and the work find its own balance. The words EXCELLENCE, RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP are starting to melt into the mountains.

A few people were worried when I stepped back from elite judo coaching to focus on my art.

But it was an easy decision creativity has always been part of me.

And to be clear: I haven’t left judo.
I’m still promoting the sport, just in a different, more creative way.
