When their team ran tests on me my hand grip strength was worse each time I gripped the digital grip meter as hard as I could. When my healthy partner did it, the grip strength got better each time. They told me they see this quite consistently. It reminds me of the two-day CPET, but maybe safer.

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine published a small study on hand grip strength as a possible biomarker. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30538664/

Budapest airport in Hungary is fantastically efficient. It's possible to get off a plane and be on a bus or in a taxi 15 mins later. Unlike London Heathrow which is just awful on every level.

Hearing Dr Gerada say it's "perfectly safe", and claiming there was evidence of this when there was not, turns my stomach. I heard her speak at the IiMER conference around 2013 and remember her condescension to the audience.

There must be a lot more than 500 "Mint Két Tojás" billboards. They are all over Budapest, Debrecen, Nyíregyháza and Balaton and everywhere in between. I thought linking Magyar to Zelensky made him more appealing, not less, but I'm a Brit.

I liked the name of a little chef-run restaurant on Arany János u. in Budapest (opposite the excellent Espresso Embassy) called Husikám, though sadly I never got to go before it closed.

Where is the objective evidence of efficacy and safety, beyond this woo woo hypothesis? What's next? Tarot? Crystals?

I saw Sinners at Vue Leicester Square, a fault with audio hardware meant a quarter of the dialogue was inaudible. Refunded. Back to see Thunderbolts* - severe double projector image, not fixed until asked. This is their flagship London cinema?! Yet industry wonders why fewer people go to the cinema.

It's nuts being forced to use the awful Epic MyChart for hospital records, separate from using the NHS app to view GP results, appointments and communicate. It's unreasonable to expect patients to register with a non-NHS system. The patient interface should solely be the NHS app.

Managing agents are a law unto themselves and have enormous leeway to spend leaseholders' money with little accountability. The only effective solution will be an independent regulator with teeth to enforce regulations and tip the balance of power back to homeowners.

He looks like a Russian Blue, certainly very similar to my two.

Is Graham a Russian Blue?
March 29, 2025 at 10:04 PM
I ask as there aren't many Russian Blues around, but a pair related to my own two live over that way.

This photo wasn't taken around Blackheath by any chance?

Great video but a shame no mention of overlap with #MEcfs
March 15, 2025 at 12:24 PM
It's it essential when a lot of long Covid is #MEcfs, often itself caused by EBV, and the management is similar, especially when presenting with post-exertional malaise?

The company's Articles of Association often require directors to be leaseholders.
March 6, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Commonhold looks like it will allow the commonhold association to have professional directors overseeing (instead of flat owner volunteers) and then a managing agent to manage. If that happens it could allow buildings where no one wants to volunteer to still benefit (albeit with some extra cost)
