I fell in love with MST3K around age 16, and my need for such levity and absurdity has grown exponentially of late. I've even dragged my kids to live MST3K and RiffTrax events. Our hotel happened to be where the RiffTrax gang had their after-party. Sometimes, it's amazing to meet your heroes.

And as a woman, of course, this involved several additional layers of calculation. You can read all about it in my book.

I'd hate to have Nuzzi besmirch the Olivia name like Wolf did to Naomi (to the chagrin of Klein). So help me make a list of amazing Olivias who are far more deserving of our attention. To start, I recommend the incredible @oliviamesser.bsky.social EIC of @thebarbedwire.com

My very vulnerable essay essentially about the extended brain fart that is perimenopause has found a home in a national newspaper. Online and in print. Thrilled, but anxious.

See you on the science and history panels! Excited to say yes to scary things (public speaking, flying) that mean I get to explore a part of the country I've never seen before.

Obsessed with these bronze art nouveau dancing scarf lady bookends. I'm so happy I trusted my gut and snapped them up at the thrift store. $25 is a bit more than I usually spend on my little thrift trinkets, but some googling tells me they're worth around $150 to $500.

One of my main goals as an author is to sell enough books so they'll let me write another one. Currently, it looks like that's not going to happen since my publisher is not happy with the sales of my second book. A sophomore slump. I'm open to promo ideas & would appreciate any shares of this post!
