I can't see any point in changing it. It is what it is. Any new version would just be a gimmick and would be unsympathetic to the rest of the episodes.

I can understand them easing the audience in with a comedy. Fingers crossed for a variety of genres and styles as the series progresses. I only fear it's too short a run to explore a wide range of genres and styles or to bed in with an audience. But we'll see...

I must have been a similar age when I discovered a copy in a second-hand shop, having not been aware of its existence. I couldn't buy it but I think my mum went back for it later and it became a welcome gift.

I was just reminded of it by hearing Sophie Aldred talking about going there to learn to fire the bazooka for Remembrance of the Daleks, so it must have been going still in 1988.

Yes, that's exactly what I was wondering. The lab has a window into some sort of industrial area (a photo blowup) - is the rest of the capsule in there? Yet the word capsule doesn't suggest something big.
