Real videos of someone dressed as Pikachu at protests in Turkey are being shared, but THIS image is NOT authentic.

Experts from GetReal Labs have analysed the photo and found “strong evidence of synthesis”.

One of the telltale signs is the misspelled text on the police van. @shayan86.bsky.social

The Russian operation we’ve previously reported on has repeatedly impersonated news outlets, incl entertainment ones, and used images of celebrities to criticise Ukraine.

Like this video I debunked ages ago

Ben Stiller, one of the actors featuring in the suspect USAID video, has dismissed the allegations as “totally false”, saying his trip to Ukraine was self-funded.

This viral video claiming USAID has paid celebrities to visit Ukraine is nowhere to be found on E!News.

And it is v similar in style to a Russian operation we’ve investigated that impersonates media outlets and often pushes anti-Ukraine narratives www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The suspect “HTS” video has been planted by a now suspended account that has only posted that one video.
The way the video spread &its style are near identical to a fake Hamas video from 2024 that’s been linked to a Rus op
Even the wall looks similar

This video claiming to show HTS threatening to burn down Notre Dame is v suspect and looks very similar to a Hamas fake we’ve previously looked at.

It’s nowhere on HTS official sources; colleagues who watch jihadist media say the clip looks nothing like videos they monitor…

This post claiming Bashar al-Assad is set to launch a podcast was published by a parody account of Russia’s RT.

Clearly evident from their bio, yet keep seeing people share it or comment on it as it were a real deal.

This video allegedly showing a “hot mic” incident during the BBC’s Business Today show is manipulated.

The original clip posted by presenter @bizfleury.bsky.social herself on 7 May is longer, has no remarks about Ukraine at the start and has several headlines before the presenter appears.
