Over two months and I’m still charging this thing with a 25ft extension chord sticking inelegantly out of the garage.
And it’s kinda fine.
I can drive about 400 miles a week either by making one 20 minute fast charger stop or taking a different car to work one day a week.

As impressions and reviews start to trickle in about the Polestar 4, I can't get over how it's being called a "coupe-like crossover."
It's just a sedan. I've sat in one not for one second did I think I was in a crossover.

Volvo 760 Diesel with M46 manual transmission sitting in my friend’s body shop yard freshly painted.
It had been sitting inside a different body shop for 20 years that shop shut down, so they brought it to Mike.

Halloween is pretty great around here. Just immaculate vibes. Literal trainloads of kids come into town, many from poorer neighborhoods plenty of candy for everyone. Smiles and happiness everywhere.

I continue to be unimpressed with the cost savings of an electric car. Since it's a low electricity usage time of year you can clearly see when the car was plugged into a level 1 (110 volt) charger with the tall light blue lines. The dark blue line is last year's usage.

I got to stretch the Polestar2’s legs on some of the excellent roads in the Appalachian foothills this weekend.
I could complain that the steering lacks feel. The truth is it’s the first car I owned in a while that is capable of way more than I am as a driver. It was pretty fun.

Update: The Polestar is cozy at the cabin and happily sucking up electrons. Nothing appears ready to catch fire.

Meeting the family at our cabin after work. For the journey I had to decide whether I trusted my mechanical handiwork and take the Volvo with 277,000 miles or my electrical handiwork and use the untested NEMA 14-50 outlet I installed during my last visit.

Gave the Volvo 240 a good wash to thank it for filling in as I wait for a level 2 charger.

Busy at the turnpike charging station today. I got to use my NACS adapter for the first time.
Looks kinda janky but it worked — charger recognized the car and plug and charge fired up.

There is a hole on the bottom of my fireplace where I sweep the ashes.
They go down a shoot into the basement where there is a little door where I could clean them out. But I won’t.
If the shoot ever becomes full I will be forced to move.

First DC fast charging experience at this lovely stop on the NJ Turnpike.
The charger claimed up to 400 kW and seemed to work as it should and was reasonably priced.
Almost flawless, except somehow fast charging messed up the audio and required an infotainment reboot.
Just Polestar things.

Been flipping through looking for Volvo or Saab ads. The cheap Swedes could not even spring for color for this uninspired ad.
