Tasting like leathery buttons on an old man's cardigan apparently... Or so someone on the hellsite said while it was still both usable and fun...
But that's not what's going to be on trial.

What will be is whether what was said by BBC caused him any reputational or monetary damage. And seeing as how he became president again after that, and has increased his wealth exponentially since becoming president, that may be much harder to argue...

Do feel free to insert yourself into other convo and try to force a subject change.

I'll be celebrating our win now

👋🏻
December 14, 2025 at 4:34 PM
So why get involved in a conversation where the question is "if there was a god"?

Don't insert yourself in then complain that the subject wasn't what you wanted it to be...

bsky.app/profile/oldm...
So, if there was a god, you'd prefer that they controlled human beings and didn't allow them free will?
December 14, 2025 at 2:47 PM
So back to my original point then...

You *do* want a god who removes the choice for people to do things that are physically possible
December 14, 2025 at 2:05 PM
So limited by biology indicates no choice.

As does limited by circumstances.

The choice is beyond their control.

Are you saying someone doesn't have the choice to rape or not?
December 14, 2025 at 1:58 PM
That's a totally different argument.

And you said I was making strawman arguments...

🤦🏻‍♂️
December 14, 2025 at 1:51 PM
God: You are totally free to do what you want. Just don't eat that apple

Man: So you're saying I have free will. To choose from the options you decide are suitable?

God: yes

Man:

God:

*Man eats fruit to exercise free will*
December 14, 2025 at 1:47 PM
That's fine. I don't expect you to want a god, and am not downplaying anything you said.

But when you say you don't want to believe in a god who allows those bad things, you also don't want to believe in a god who doesn't allow them.

Which is fine
December 14, 2025 at 1:45 PM
So, your argument is you want a god who doesn't build anyone who will choose to turn into a rapist, a serial killer, a narcissist or a billionaire, but who also gives free choice for people to choose how they live?
December 14, 2025 at 1:22 PM
As I thought. Nothing to say about the arguments, just insults at the person.

You should go to Twitter. You'd feel at home there
December 14, 2025 at 1:04 PM
So they said they don't want to follow don't want to follow a god who allows murder.

What part am I missing champ?
December 14, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Might want to read back in the thread then champ...

This was exactly what the discussion was about. The person I responded to said they didn't want a god who allowed people to be killed, but wants people to have free will to make their own choices
December 14, 2025 at 12:05 PM
So you want a god who removes the ability for people to make choices you don't like?
December 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM
Once you take those choices away, which others do you leave?

The choice to be a billionaire while other people starve?

The choice to lie about vaccines to stop others taking them?

The choice to...?
December 14, 2025 at 9:11 AM
But I can choose to run a red.

And I believe most religions have rules not to rape or kill.

So do you want a god who makes breaking their rules a choice, or impossible?
December 14, 2025 at 9:08 AM
Well, you've said you want a god to intervene to stop anyone being killed.

How does that let people have free will?
December 14, 2025 at 2:19 AM
So, if there was a god, you'd prefer that they controlled human beings and didn't allow them free will?
December 14, 2025 at 1:26 AM
So in your view, every single crime should have a full jury trial?
December 5, 2025 at 6:57 AM
So you think we should abolish magistrate's courts...
December 4, 2025 at 8:44 PM
So judges are the problem here, not removing juries?
December 4, 2025 at 6:22 PM
That's Danny Kruger out then...
December 3, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Would you scrap magistrate's courts? They already operate without juries
December 3, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Because it can't
September 8, 2025 at 7:01 AM
If I stand here like this, maybe no one will notice that the flag over my shoulder isn't right...
