Meanwhile, Trump is pardoning high level drug traffickers. I guess they can afford to pay his asking price for a pardon. The drug war was always a joke and a societal level entrapment scheme for the poor. These actions just expose our collective hypocrisy, and all it took was one corrupt POTUS.

I feel so sorry for the Ukrainians. MAGA goes off about the aid we are sending which is a pittance compared to other things we waste resources on. Trump is Putin's stooge. The truth will eventually come out.

I don't disagree. It would also help if the government was not constantly creating new money that sloshes around all over the place and creates inflation.

Which drug issue is that? Alcohol? Legal prescription drugs? Americans are hypocrites. The most dangerous drugs are legal. The currently illicit drugs like coke and heroin were once legal. The rate of use today is the same as it was before 1900 as a percentage of population.

The drug war is an authoritarian tool. It is used as a way to entice poor people into criminal activity. Meanwhile if your drug dealer has a medical license or a liquor license then all is well. The most dangerous drugs are legal. US policy and law is designed to feed the prison industrial complex.

Trump is guilty as sin in all this. MAGA said the Access Hollywood tape was just 'locker room talk' or some such nonsense. Wrong. That is who Trump really is and his evil behavior extended to young girls as well as women. MAGA is a pro child sex trafficking party.

The US got lucky in the way WWII played out and we have had a few exceptional generations. We have never been interested in a great society for all Americans.

Of course, they can afford it. However, we really need to focus on why we need to have constant inflation. In the pre-Fed era, inflation was just 0.3 pct per year. Deficits were much smaller. In the last 100 years, inflation is 3 pct per year or 10x as high. We all pay for government deficits.

I agree. I just think any system that people run seems to get corrupted over time whether it be capitalism, communism or socialism. I think any system honestly administered could work. The problem seems to be with us humans. Peace.

I can only speak for myself. I started out with nothing, and now I am rather well off. I never borrowed to consume, I shared expenses when necessary, I always had a monthly surplus. Capitalism can work for anyone. We have crony capitalism and not enough financial education in schools.

I rarely agree with Steve Bannon. However he recently said when sanity returns to government, many MAGA traitors will go to jail. I agree with that completely.

This is good start no doubt. However if we do not get federal spending under control and stop the chronic devaluation of our money, MAGA is not going anywhere. The next Trump will be worse. Printing money is not an answer to our nation's problems. It is actually the cause of most economic problems.

I agree, but this is not the time to get complacent or celebrate too soon. There is so much work to be done. We must pressure Democrats to make another Trump impossible. The office of the president must be brought under control.

All true Robert. How about mentioning the role of government deficits and how they relate to the affordability crisis? Inflation doesn't just happen does it? The excess money has to come from somewhere right?
