I've actually been a huge fan of Ashman since U20s where he looked a real prospect especially in defence and the loose, and genuinely hope the exposure to this environment will prove beneficial to his development as a player, which seems to have stalled a little in the last year or so...

Playing Fiji away is very different to playing them when they’re on tour. Reminds me of playing the likes of Dumfries or Newton Stewart back in the day at Ardrossan…the travelling team would be a poor shadow of the one who took the field at home…
