Táim ag amharc siar ar an gceist sin a chuirfeadh orm go rialta cheana "why did you go to a gaelscoil?". Seans fiú go bhfuil fadhb leis an gceist sin féin. Go háirithe nuair Béarlóir a chuireann an cheist.

Agus sin é i ndáiríre, fiú má bhí an teanga agat ó aois óg. Táimid ar fad ag cur leis ár gcuid foghlamtha i gcónaí. Mothaímse mí-chompordach nuair a cheapann roinnt daoine go bhfuil sé "unattainable" dóibh an teanga a bheith acu.

I see that more and more myself these days through work. It's amazing, but unfortunately I guess some out there feel a certain way about it.

One thing I realised a while ago is my generation are still the guinea pigs. Eventually, more people will come to understand us, but you definitely can't change everyone's minds, and I'm ok with that personally.

It's funny because you wouldn't get there wouldn't be an issue if you were speaking German, Italian, or any other European language. They just have an issue because you're doing it as Gaeilge.

I've had a fair few 'cultural appropriation' accusations from these sort over the years, but I don't bother myself. I'll continue doing what I love and enjoy.
