Ok! Several days later... Its done! I finished it today, strung it, tuned it, and its ready for fine tuning of the string heights (at the new nut) and thats it.
New frets, new nut, several modifications to neck shape, pickup height, and one minor repair.
Im tired. i'll play it later. Coffee time.

I am making a new nut too. This one is bone, starting with a 3 inch long blank, i am hand filing it to square it, cutting to length, adjust height, contour it, string slots.
Jeeze...the white powder IS BONE DUST! from filing! Relax! Sheesh!

My next service project.... i built this over 10 yrs ago, and love playing it. Its 16 string, multiple scale, brass nuts, piano tuning pins, all electric, fully hollowbody all the way from the sound holes to the brass nuts.. i play it with a slide.

Im almost done doing my 10 year service on my guitar.
I have replaced all the frets (worn) resurfaced the fretboard, modified the pickup heights (counter sunk them further into the body), widened the fingerboard & thinned the neck. Dressing the fret ends now.
