If this is as *on* as he can manage to be when his handlers, knowing he'll be on camera, have done all the things to make sure he's looking his best (makeup, uppers?)... imagine what he's like the rest of the time.

When you justify the unjustifiable, your brain engages in mental gymnastics driven by cognitive dissonance. This activates the prefrontal cortex (reasoning) and emotional areas like the amygdala, causing biased thinking and strengthening negative neural paths that make future justifications easier.

For all the folks with HS seniors lamenting they'd "never get into Princeton," remember Pete got in. It's really a crapshoot. Apply! We need more people with actual ETHICS at the schools that produce the Masters of the Universe.

3/ Rufo is reacting to this important new article in @theatlantic.com: “The Heritage Foundation’s recent decision to hire [Claremont alum] Scott Yenor… poses serious questions about the institution’s beliefs concerning the equality of women in the workplace and perhaps even as citizens…” Gift Link:
Does Heritage Support Discrimination Against Women?
The organization’s recent hiring reveals a willingness to countenance views decisively outside the American mainstream.

The Heritage Foundation & the Claremont Institute often seem to operate in lockstep. Both of them, for example, recently published articles by Scott Yenor that take aim at contraception, specifically, birth control pills. Here’s the Heritage piece from 10/29/25... 1/ www.heritage.org/life/comment...
RFK Should Grill the Pill
No drug is as sacrosanct in today’s sexually “liberated” culture as oral contraceptives. But the proliferation of the birth control pill since the 1960s has fostered a number of grave consequences for...

“Potential problems are not limited to those who ingest the hormones. Synthetic estrogen, an endocrine-disrupting compound used in oral contraceptives, makes its way from America’s toilets to the water supply.“ SO—if you’re so afraid of drugs in the water, how bout we go back to pit toilets?

30 minutes of recess does seem too long at 3°. They should split it up into two 15-minute chunks. (I was a teacher—I do realize it takes 10 minutes just to get the kids out and back in). Meanwhile here in MD, the principal at our elem school would cancel recess at 25°. Pissed me off!

BS! Why can I rent the same model of car in Europe and it’ll get 50 mpg, while in the U.S. it gets 30?

I nearly cried when I saw Costco is suing the govt over the tariffs and NYT suing over WH press access—yet that’s nothing in the face of pardons of CZ, Ulbricht, Hernandez, or the impunity of Netanyahu, the Epstein clients, etc etc. Why won’t people with “f you” money fight back?!
