Big same lol. I miss my gays. Most my closest friends are also long-distance friends, so I feel like every time I see them could be the last time. I dunno that there's much for it other than making the effort to see those friends more often, or try to find friends closer to home (both options hard).

I'm not sure that I am, to be perfectly honest with you! I'm in a slow-motion, systematic decline! But weed does help.

I used to really like Dreamcatcher, actually. But I haven't seen it in a long time and I have become a much more discerning viewer since then. Doctor Sleep deserved a bigger audience but I think the praise is on point. I also think highly of Hearts in Atlantis and Lisey's Story.

Aww thanks! It's not too bad. Got the day off, finished writing a couple chapters in my book, and now I'm doing drugs. Not a particularly eventful or special day, but it's pretty all right.

I'm not supposed to fuck with smoke while I recover from surgery, so I haven't been to choosy about strains lately (only edibles for me right now). But I like Jack Herer, sour diesel, blue dream, and what I assume is a local one called Windy City OG.

Sad to hear about the passing of legendary actor Tatsuya Nakadai (92). When I first really got into movies, I always thought of him as the other Kurosawa leading man, but his career had as many classics as Mifune. Ran, Harakiri, The Human Condition, Kagemusha, Face of Another, High & Low, and more.

Guillermo del Toro could've put Baragon into his Frankenstein film, but the world probably wasn't ready for a movie as cool as that.
