How is the situation of #OER in Chile? Werner Westermann from the Library of National Congress of Chile observes that Chile currently lacks sustained governmental commitment to open education. While promising initiatives such as the Open University of Recoleta have been discontinued, other countries in the region, notably Brazil and Uruguay demonstrate how consistent public support can strengthen open education at a systemic level.

Habt ihr auf irgendeine Weise etwas mit Musik zu tun? Vielleicht produziert ihr Videos oder einen Podcast und braucht dafür Musik. Vielleicht unterrichtet ihr auch Musik, Musiktheorie oder Musikwissenschaft. Oder ihr komponiert selber Musik und gebt Konzerte. Wenn wir Musik schaffen oder nutzen, stellen sich uns immer wieder Fragen rund um das Urheberrecht und die Nutzungsrechte. Und diesen Fragen widmen wir am 7. November 2025 einen ganzen Tag. Die Oma lädt ein. Welche Oma? Die Open Music Academy ist ein Projekt der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Die Plattform Open Music Academy ist der digitale Raum, etwas über Musik zu lernen. Und zwar ganz frei – bei der Oma geht es um freie Bildung rund um Musik. Was passiert also? Am 7. November in München kommen Fachleute zusammen, um Vorträge zu halten und zu diskutieren. Es wird um künstliche Intelligenz gehen, das Remixen, die Verwertungsgesellschaft GEMA und die Frage, wie Musik und Commons zusammenpassen. Mit Frédéric Döhl, Renate Schmid, Matthias Hornschuh, Ulrich Kaiser, Elene Meipariani und Till Hoffmann, Fabian Rack und Friederike von Franqué. Besonders gespannt sind wir auf die Podiumsdiskussion. Gekrönt wird der Tag mit einem alles andere als gewöhnlichen Konzert. Dann nur einmal schlafen – und am 8. November erwartet euch das OERcamp Extra München. Seid ihr dabei? Also: Oma forever.
