I’m irritated when books use real places as settings but then do no research into that place. My current read takes place in Savannah, I love an hour away and spend much of my life down there, 100% accurate in the book. The cover has skyscrapers in the background 🤨has nothing to do anything

Laundromats are very calming for me. The warmth given off by the dryers, the tumble noise of clothes, the smell of detergent and dryer sheets. I grew up poor and we didn’t have machines at home so my formative years were at laundromats. Many late nights spent sleeping on folding tables.
