Anyway, despite all that Magnolia was such a treat to play/see/listen to - more Ender is always good and worth it, but there'll always be a spot in my heart for Lilies. (last images censored for spoilers)

Right so Ender Magnolia is super fun - in many ways much refined over Ender Lilies but in a few ways I still prefer Lilies over Magnolia. Spoilers ahead obviously for both Lilies and Magnolia. 12-13 posts incoming of my unfiltered stream of consciousness

Been playing on and off the past month, and only with holidays did I finish the grind to gold 1. I'm definitely starting to struggle with more competent players.

Took a few days break and then grinded (ground?) to silver. Had a bit of a losing streak before picking up the wins again - mix of players who've figured out an offensive game plan vs those who are still learning what they can do

Made it into bronze rank after a week or so. Matchmaking is kind of whatever at the lower ranks and in my location, so I've been accepting games with yellow-3-bar wifi players out of necessity (send help). Forgot to take a screenshot right when I got into bronze & this Cammy player 1&done'd me

Made it into bronze rank after a week or so. Matchmaking is kind of whatever at the lower ranks and in my location, so I've been accepting games with yellow-3-bar wifi players out of necessity (send help). Forgot to take a screenshot right when I got into bronze & this Cammy player 1&done'd me
I finally made my first foray in fighting games this weekend despite playing thing fighting-games-adjacent for years and having many friends experienced with them. I'll use this as an ongoing thread to see how far I can go and things I learn at each rank from the POV starting from complete rookie.
