100% true. The Gripen is quite agile (useful in Vietnam era dogfights) but F-35s aren’t made so much to win dogfights with lesser planes as to blast them out of the sky from afar—before a visual combat situation has begun.

Very true! In fact, China’s recent energy growth story has been powered by natural gas and nuclear (and coal) much more than solar and wind.

"the “10,000” number seems plucked from thin air because it exceeds SAAB's own binational (Sweden and Brazil) workforce for the Gripen. It exceeds SAAB’s numbers on its own website by two-thirds, a number that still seems high because final assembly in Brazil employs no more than 260 workers."
