An example I have is Bridgerton..so many loved it, but when I finally watched, over a year after the release, the acting was not great 🤧 particularly the main characters/love interest of S1 had no chemistry!

Americans just have no primary source of information to build their perspective on the state of the world, or even a reliable unbiased secondary source, it's all just word of mouth heresay or opaque (in terms of their backing interests) podcasts, news sites, and social media platforms

I feel like its not always solid storytelling (sometimes it is though!), but its the *authenticity* of the acting! Like, the actors are *in character* and believe it!

So many American shows lack that these days!
