I can barely listen to NPR anymore. I’m used to a much cleaner sound. NPR refuses to put any kind of filter on mics. Some people sound like they have the mic inside their mouths. The sticky pasty mouth noises, ear stabbing “S!” sounds and it seems every major host has a speech impediment.

Just listened to the interview. Fascinating material but sound quality was awful. Michelle has a sharp, piercing “S” sound that makes listeners wince. NPR needs to filter guest mics!
