Oof. Nearly $1mil will be spent on this in the city, alone!

Legit the reason why I started on this train. The RPD Chief told @dinfontay.com that no, they won't under any circumstances tell us where the devices are, but they're not hidden so you can just drive around and look for them.

Sounded like a challenge to me...

For your reference: after you find two or so, they will end up in a sawtooth pattern. Once you figure that out you'll be able to nail a lot more.
I triangulate fish for my day job (niche); when we set out receivers to listen/position, a "sawtooth" pattern works the best. It seems the Ravens are set out to position targets. If you want to find more devices look in areas that are holes in the sawtooth pattern. I've circled a couple on your map.

I think the lack of mapped Ravens in Gilpin is due to the "WIP" nature TBH. I would be surprised if they _weren't_ there given that they're all over Mosby/Whitcomb/Creighton.

I'm sure there's a heck of a story behind that reconciliation.

If you/others are interested in adding, the DeFlock methods are good for ALPRs but don't cover gunshot detectors (deflock.me/report). We have some expanded suggestions for these other devices in the Wiki link above; follow the "Legacy Editor" instructions in the DeFlock link and slot in our recs.

A little bit of both. It's absolutely a WIP: RPD has expanded their coverage + we haven't caught everything yet. Anecdotally, the gunshot detectors are mainly in the East End though some are downtown.

Just frustrating to listen to someone getting paid $365k/year be an obstinate asshole.

Ah, sorry, it's tongue-in-cheek. I feel like people who are very _well seasoned_ tack on a whole bunch of syllables at the end... War-ar-ar-ar

I also have a theory that you can tell how Ol' Virginny someone is by the number of syllables they add to the back end of the word "war".
