I don't think I heard that Canva had purchased Serif last year. I'm glad I updated to V2 already. I guess that's the last purchase I'm making of it 'cause you KNOW they're gonna go subscription eventually, even if they say it'll be "free forever."
The older versions of standalone Affinity apps will still work for anyone who has previously purchased them, and those users won’t be forcibly moved to the new platform. The V2 editions of Designer, Photo, and Publisher were all pulled from the Affinity website several weeks ago, however, and Canva hasn’t mentioned if existing users will continue receiving support updates.

Post 2, part 1: However much you move the goalposts to find a tenable compromise, he will always demand more, because he does not want compromises. He wants confrontations. He will push until he gets one, on everything. Post 2, part 2: Letting you save face is the thing he doesn't want, that's what he finds intolerable. It's a fool's game. And unfortunately, we have many fools. Post 3: Rubio, for example, just signed up to get his lesson. There is no being obsequious and compliant enough that he'll let you get by and cling to a sense of normalcy. Being humiliated and defeated by him *is* the job, that's what he wants. It's a feature not a bug for him that it will end that way. Post 4: But even outside the administration (regime is more apt), even among Dems, this is why "we'll do what we can to work with him" is futile. He does not want to work with you. He does not want your cooperation. He wants to push until you finally dig in your heels, so then he can punch you in the face. Post 5: The only way to avoid that fate, why the Stephen Millers and Tom Homans seem to stick around, is because they understand this dynamic and bring him a constant stream of confrontations. By being the fist with which he can do the punch. Nobody else can have any stable, secure arrangement with him.
