These 2010s ideas about food were frustrating because grocery stores in food deserts and school/community gardens seemed nice but destined to be ineffective relative to the effort.

Better school lunches was the exception. We should focus on that!

Sean checked with some lobbyists and it doesn't have enough sweet domestic crude in it.

There's a real risk that Tesla isn't similarly cautious, bad shit happens and waymo is caught in the blowback

Waymo have been responsible and I am much more comfortable crossing the road near a waymo than another other car.

They're not the tech company anyone needs to be yelling at over safety.

The dark ages have expanded to the period between the Jewish-Roman wars and 1948. Nobody knows what happened! Probably nothing of importance.

I've sent the IRS way more money than the average person while qualifying for literally no deductions. I'm fine with this for myself, I just have no patience for people who think they deserve their special snowflake deduction for doing their job.
November 17, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Special treatment for tips and overtime is also a scam. There's no reason to privilege those or business income over working at Walmart or a construction job or an office job.
November 17, 2025 at 3:22 AM
It isn't, but a lot of people have over time talked themselves into the idea that anyone mentioning anything that puts Israel in a bad light must be motivated by antisemitism.
November 16, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Man, I didn't know about this deduction. How the hell is this justified? This just seems like spitting in the face of wage earners.

It's a cross-ideology thing. Reagan signed CEQA.

I rarely see conservative homeowners who are in favor of development near their home. Sure, let development run wild in sprawl or urban neighborhoods, just not in their backyard. I'm sure they exist, it's just not the typical voter.

He's implying he got a lopsided deal but it seems unlikely as long as he paid for a decent lawyer and didn't do anything bizarre. I assume he opted to keep the expensive house in his name or something
