This is the exact carpet that was in my great-grandfather's house. When I was really little, I found that pattern fascinating and I used to sit and trace the outlines of the flowers with my fingers. That would have been in the 1960s, although I think that carpet was pretty old even then

In addition, a politician in NZ associated with the Atlas Network (a.k.a. billionaires' think tank) is currently doing his level best to force a rewrite of the founding constitutional document of New Zealand to remove Māori rights already well established in law. Make of that what you will.
