PEF Division 241 (Creedmor Psychiatric Center) held a membership meeting today. The nurses, rehab staff, psychiatrists and intensive case managers who attended heard from Council Leader Michele Rosello and Assistant Council Leader Dr. Darlyne Richardson about the contract and H&S.

Last night R10 Coordinator Tamara Martin had a great time attending Division 292’s holiday party alongside Field Rep Robert Wright at Brickyard Craft Kitchen & Bar in Manhattan. Thank you to Council Leader Clara Henry for the invitation and warm welcome. A wonderful evening celebrating the season!

When we fight, we win! A huge Thank You to the members of the U.S. House who stood up to support federal workers’ right to organize. The bill, which overturns an Executive Order that ended collective bargaining rights for some federal employees, now heads to the Senate.
Federal workers refused to stay silent and WON.

The Protect America’s Workforce Act is moving forward because workers organized, built a working majority, and forced Congress to act.

WORKER POWER MADE THIS HAPPEN. 🎉

Last night was a dazzling evening in Region 3 as the Rochester Labor Council held its annual dinner, with UAW President Shawn Fain as the keynote speaker. Congratulations to PEF Region 3 Field Rep Colin Phillips, who took home the Jon Garlock Educator of the Year Award!

Region 10 Coordinator Tamara Martin led a team at a tabling event at the DMV office in Harlem on Wed. Members talked to PEF staff from Organizing, Field and Health & Safety about their concerns, and picked up info about what to do in the event of workplace violence.

On December 6, PEF members in Region 5 enjoyed a Binghamton Bear Cats hockey game, including a trip down to the ice to pose in front of the PEF ad the region purchased along the boards. PEF’s support was obviously essential in helping Binghamton beat Port Huron, 3-1. 😊
