#NationalSockDay always makes me think of my friend John Cronin of Johns Crazy Socks. The Long Islander is on a mission to spread happiness through colorful and fun socks and proving disabilities are not limitations, they’re strengths!

Today, we honor and remember those in the transgender community killed in violent hate crimes. People have the right to live authentically without fear of being targeted just for being themselves. I continue to support trans New Yorkers and the fight against discrimination.
