Right, but even visa and mastercard do have fees. Your statement that taking cash is expensive doesn't provide a comparison to taking cards. I struggle to come up with how taking cash is more expensive than card fees.

I think the car centred culture of the US hides a big demographic for this that I'm a part of: public transit commuters. I take the bus and subway to work in Singapore, and so a decent chunk of my day 5 days a week is prime time for a device like this, it's a no-brainer.

Serious question though, are there enough available to be at enough places to make a significant impact? ICE is too scared to work alone, you'd have to imagine you need at least 4 to 6 at each site, and there are a lot of places. Not saying it won't happen, but can it have the impact we fear?

There is a difference between love and appeasement. You do not have to accept someone else's beliefs to see them as fellow humans, even if they don't see you the same way. Like it or not, we will not escape the spiral of polarisation if we also see our enemies as less than human.

No, when the military is killing it means things have gone wrong. This guy has no understanding of a true warrior ethos. The fact that he kept saying "we" like he is still in uniform was offensive by itself.
