(1/2) Frigid temps & wind chills continue through this AM. A Cold Wx Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM. Wind chills between -20 & -25 & air temps between 0 & -10 are expected areawide, with the coldest conditions expected through 9 AM. Dress in layers if heading outside!

Lake effect snow is expected to continue in far eastern Racine and Kenosha Counties through this afternoon. Expect moderate to briefly heavy snowfall, especially east of I-94. The snow band is expected to move into far northeastern Illinois by late this afternoon. #wiwx

A Cold weather advisory in effect for all of southern Wisconsin from midnight to noon on Monday. Lows tonight will range from zero to -10 and combine with a 10 mph breeze to produce minimum wind chill values of -20 to -25. The coldest period will be near sunrise Monday. #wiwx

Greatest accumulations will occur along the lakeshore in the advisory area, with a sharp cutoff inland. Wind may also drive some patchy blowing snow and visibility concerns during the afternoon. #wiwx

A lake-effect snow band will come onshore Sunday, leading to winter weather impacts over eastern Racine and Kenosha Counties, and far southeastern Milwaukee County. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Racine and Kenosha Counties from 6am to 3pm Sunday.

Minimum wind chills tonight will dip between -30 and -40 in the Extreme Cold Warning area. Elsewhere, -20 to -30 degree chills are expected. Areas along the southern lakeshore may briefly dip below -30 for a time but will largely remain in Cold Weather Advisory criteria #wiwx

At the expected temperatures tonight, frostbite can occur in as little 10 to 15 minutes. Avoid spending time outside if possible. If you absolutely need to be outdoors, bundle up and avoid exposing skin to the wind. #wiwx

Dangerous cold weather is on the way with an Extreme Cold Warning in effect from 12am to 1pm Friday, and a Cold Weather Advisory 1pm Friday to Noon Saturday. Some of the area MAY be upgraded to an Extreme Cold Warning Friday night, depending upon forecast model trends.

Band of heavy snow continues to swing east and will push out over the next hour or so. Hazardous travel conditions remain in this snow band with rates up to 1 in/hr. Another area of snow showers pushing in may cause briefly lowered visibilities and moderate snowfall rates. #wiwx
