I somehow missed that sensei should be contrasted to the french 75 on my first watch through and just felt that the political message was confused and confusing. Finding that contrast really helped the movie make sense. What an incredible film

Highly recommend reading "a city on Mars" by the Weinersmiths. Tl;dr though is that even in that situation we'll all be living on earth
