Weirdly, it lets you preview dvd menus for other movies. Not necessarily letting you watch the special features or the movie itself, but you can just go through the menus.

Why hall your entire computer to the DJ event for visuals when you can just record them onto a VHS tape and bring a small CRT instead?

I take my DJing very seriously and must remain serious at all times (this is why I usually play with my pup hood on 😂)
