I'll go further and say when women are dressed in a fashion that makes them look "older" then their age (i.e. how a fashionally literate middle aged librarian might dress) (i think(as a genderfluid non passing transfem) for women usually "looking older" in regards to clothing = looking authoritative

I think you're right in the regard that we've reached a late stage of self cannibalism in the digital space, meaning that at this point we've seen so much shit that just gets iterated endlessly and got so deep into algorithmically formed communities that now our sense of connection itself is eroding
