After playing DDO for a little bit I wish so badly we got to explore more of the Rift, and more things happened there. I already had some ideas cooking before then but playing DDO solidified my interests in it so ig I'll do it myself. 😤

some of my first sketches of dragonsplague pawn Liam. I've got a much better idea on his exact features (both human and not. DD got me into drawing humans more regularly) but he's mostly stayed similar. I don't draw enough of all his ebbs and flows in between forms. #DD2 related.

here's a screenshhot of how tiny the pawn is in-game while dragonsplagued, just a lil guy. Liam enters this awkward state a few times, but that is not Liam's true state, but Oblivion forcing him and moving him around like a 'pawn' through hijacking Liam's will.

Liam sized up against Nex (I was able to extract DD2 assets into Blender, and it's neat.) Liam is far bigger than the in-game dragonsplagued pawn. Nex is still massive compared to him. I'm glad I was able to roughly guess his size compared to Nex earlier this year w some sketches.

ought to note that the dragon in the third sketch is also Liam. he cannot be in two places at once or 'split' himself, it's more of a metaphor that he feels comfortable around Kraus regardless of what form he's in, innate or human.

Liam and Kraus. DD2 related. Liam can take on a variety of sizes in his draconic form. As a human he's 5'9" and fairly lanky. Kraus definitely had negative assumptions about his capabilities when they first met, and didn't want anything to do with pawns. Given time they grow nearly inseparable.

I'm still mulling a lot over the final battle(s) between Nex, Arisen, and their pawn. This is where Liam is truly challenged over the concept of his own free will. Kraus suggested at some point he leave that world in case of failure but Liam is determined and ready, for better or worse. #DD2

scrap I may complete. I've done a few of these 'Liam curled up like a feline bc he wants to be warm and toasty' sketches but never got too far. He loves to read dusty old books and sleep in Kraus' furs.

Lil update on Liam's model. Not an awful lot done. He's still nakey and smooth. There was some weird issues going on that took way too long to discover and fix. I'll get back to it once I have some time.

yeah you generally want your objects to represent their real world sizes. it was easy to downsize him so it's not a problem.

this is why it's important to have an object in the space for scale..something I ignored this entire time until I looked at the dimensions. Liam has been eating that rift lettuce.

DD2 scraps. Pawn Liam does romp around as a human but he much prefers his innate form, and he can condense himself to carry-on sizes.
