I suppose I should post that it wasn't that, it's just a cool looking and more powerful version of their ZigBee/Thread Antenna (either, not both at once) which is cool, but not as cool as an all in one antenna would have been.

They are literally going to announce something Antenna-looking in a few hours on their YouTube, and I'm hoping for an all in one antenna.

Right Now I have it in a docker, and it has issues, and I'll probably be installing HA at a relative's place, where there is no hardware like that anyways, so getting used to the dedicated HA Green board would be useful.

I'm also looking at those Tether, ZigBee and Z-Wave antennas...

Yeah, Google home's automations are painfully awful. And that delay I've only experienced with one set of products, though I might introduce randomised delay with Home Assistant because it has a certain charm.

Actually I'm inches away from buying dedicated HW for it, because it's just so great.

Go for it, it's a reeeally fun rabbit hole.

It allows such fun possibilities with automations, something beyond just "turn on lights when I come home". Though it does location detection much better than anything else I've used.
