Triple chocolate cherry cookies and eggnog snickerdoodles. And I think that's all the drop cookies I needed to make. Still need to do a batch of roll out cookies and a couple of pinwheel-style cookies, but those will be on other weekends. Still need to do laundry today. 😅 #CookieParty
Triple chocolate cherry cookies on a cooling rack. They are a chocolate cookie base with milk and dark chocolate chips, and a dollop of cherry jam in a little well on top. Eggnog snickerdoodles on a cookie sheet. I can never get snickerdoodles to turn out right. I like the eggnog and nutmeg in these, but they're light and airy and puffy and not at all chewy.

More cookies, since I wasn't exhausted after the first 2 batches. Behold the chocolate set: hot chocolate cookies w/ marshmallows (check out the toasty browned marshmallows on these babies!) and Turtles cookies (complete with caramel containment breaches). #CookieParty.

Freshly baked Turtles cookies (chocolate base with chopped walnuts, chopped caramels, and chocolate chips) on a cookie sheet. The caramel chunks caused catastrophic containment breaches and melted all over the parchment paper on a lot of the cookies.

And so the Great Cookie-ing of 2026 begins. Holiday baking has started with cranberry white chocolate cookies and ginger cookies (which, for some reason are a lot more spread out than usual -- think it's the different brand of margarine I used). Eggnog snickerdoodle batter is chilling. #CookieParty

Sadly, it's not sweet enough, which is odd b/c I usually find most pies too sweet. Will give it another try at some point, but add maybe a 1/4 cup of brown sugar to the recipe to boost the sweetness, while giving it a bit of depth of flavour. It's definitely missing something.
A peach pie in a glass pie plate with a couple of slices removed so you can see the consistency of the filling. The crust is very flaky (definitely my best attempt at pie crust so far!) and the filling has set nicely.

There is a bunch of burnt goo on the cookie sheet at the bottom of the image, lots of goo around the edges of the pie, and a slightly-burnt crust. You can't really tell, but the vent holes are tiny heart shapes and the punched-out heart shapes from the vents are the burnt things on the top.
