Despite having what most #notts fans would say was an average season last term, probably a hangover from a major injury, Matt Palmer still managed to record good numbers compared to other CM’s in L2.

Does he still have what it takes to have an impact next season?

I did a technical analysis piece for @analystsbar.bsky.social on George Abbott.

Definitely a shining light amongst a season of mediocrity.

One more from me today, cumulative goals compared to expected goals.

We had half a dozen games early on where Jodi and DC were on fire together.

The drop off after the Gillingham game and Jodi’s injury (🤬) is clear to see and we never really fully recovered.

Here’s one I’ve done for @analystsbar.bsky.social

One of THE standout performers in League Two this year 📊

Rightly recognised by @efl in the recent #EFLAwards and a reminder of the talent available for development loans from #PL2

Incredible how divided & divisive our fan base currently is.

Still everything to play for but can understand the frustrations of what could be a season of missed opportunities.

I’ve been supportive of SM but even that resolve has been tested at times.

Still, one last push for promotion!

Good solid all round performance, a win and a clean sheet, can’t ask for much more than that.

7 more to go, just ignore the noise and focus on ourselves.

Closer to top than 8th. All to play for.

Very little between the teams with both cancelling each other out. A couple of contentious decisions from the ref and you feel this is where the game will be won or lost. Neither team really deserve to be ahead at the break.

Current outright odds for tomorrow.

#notts win 19/20
#spirites win 11/4
Draw 29/10

These work out as:
Notts win 51% chance
Chessie 27% chance
Draw 26% chance

Personally I’d call it much closer than that.

I’d like to say I’m looking forward to it but … 😰

Really enjoyed this one.

Plenty of #notts chat plus analysis of Mansfield’s decline and my reaction to claims that Forest in Europe will be the saviours of our city … 🤔

Much better second half, by far the better team and looking more like the Notts we have come to expect.

If ever you needed proof that missing players like Didzy doesn’t impact your performance it was clear to see tonight.

Probably happier of the two team at half time, rode our luck at times but also shown a bit more going forward than recent games.

Tsaroulla and Gordon on their stronger wings and Grant and Whitaker as #10s gives us much more balance.

Pitch is pants.

Jatta tops the non-penalty goals table with 16.

Additionally he has 25% non-penalty goal conversion rate, currently second only to Jamille Matt at Walsall.

Jatta currently scores at a rate of 1 goal in every 4 shots making him the second most clinical striker in the league.

Seen a lot of comments regarding big chances missed.

Notts top the table with 56 but they have also created the most big chances in the league, 89.

That’s 62.92%.

Gillingham have the highest % of big chances missed at 73.81%.

In fact there are 8 teams with higher missed big chance % than Notts.

Season stats updated.

Possession showing a trend of reducing slightly.

Both xG & xGA higher than actual goals for/against.

Crosses from wing play starting to level out, Vale at home the outlier where we had 46 crosses, 24 for K Gordon!

PPG now suggests 84pts ⬆️
