Misleading. Tons of them are now embedded at the agencies directly still doing the same things.

DOGE itself may be gone, but it's program lives on.

Kareem deserves every penny of his contract. He was a man on a mission today--especially impressive how he didn't let the fumble shake him.

Kareem Hunt is such a manly man that his blood type is Testosterone.

She was disliked by the left her whole political career and she reveled in it.

The right turned on her and in a few weeks she's getting death threats then resigning.

Pretty sure she's got a new opinion on which side's supporters are more violent and more dangerous, whether or not she admits it.

My post doesn't say they are? "More A or more B" leaves open (and even implies it is to some degree) both.

Trump was genuinely more supportive of Mamdani in this one press conference than the entire DNC establishment has been at any point this year.
November 21, 2025 at 9:52 PM
It's really weird how much he seems to genuinely like Mamdani, after demonizing him so much leading up to the mayoral election.

I'm not sure if it's more a sign of how good Mamdani is at politics and working a room, or how little convictions of his own Trump actually has.

Anyone who doesn't think sharks are neat isn't worth having as a follower.

On the one hand, I feel bad for him because he got brought into the case cold with real prior knowledge or experience and was thrust into an entirely untenable position to litigate from.

On the other hand, fuck him for just going along with it.

I think it's understandable that a victim would grasp at any possible straw to hold her abusers accountable in this situation. Especially if she wasn't directly abused by him.

I've heard shock over this, over his expansive use of tariffs, over his use of the DOJ to go after political rivals, etc.

It's amazing how he could explicitly say he planned to do X, yet so many people thought he'd do Y, and are now amazed he's actually doing X instead.

I tend to think it's and attempt to help the audience feel smart instead of the writer.

"Ohh, that must be a metaphor! This writer and I are so clever."

I can't think of any other reason people would find this kind of writing appealing.
November 18, 2025 at 2:18 AM
"Let me cram in some metaphors to pump up the word count."

I know what it is. The question is why am I reading this entirely unnecessary tangent that is completely unneeded?
November 18, 2025 at 2:07 AM
One that is entirely unnecessary given the whole thing could be wrapped up in about 500 words.

Does the guy get paid by the line?

Is it a requirement to include as much extraneous detail and random asides as possible in your writing when your target audience is upper-class white people?
November 18, 2025 at 2:01 AM
I hate writing that seems hell-bent on including as many unrelated, extraneous details and asides as possible make sure it's as hard to slog through it as possible.

Maybe it's because I'm a STEM person, but c'mon guy, get to the point. Why are your failed attempts to kill bamboo included in this?
November 18, 2025 at 1:59 AM
It's depressing that Americans mostly DGAF about foreign policy.

This is bad, bombing boats in the Caribbean with zero due process is much worse, and for the most part the American public couldn't care less about either.

Aren't most of his recent pardons for people facing state prosecution?

If so, it's just performative. He can't pardon state crimes.
November 14, 2025 at 3:34 PM
But they did negotiate.

They promised you a vote that's doomed to fail in the Senate, that won't come up in the House even if it somehow passed, and that POTUS would definitely veto if it somehow got to him.

And your colleagues said "yep, sounds like a good deal, let's cooperate."

And it's not even an actual, legal name change since the name is set via legislation.

It's $2 billion for a nickname. One of those "preferred" names the GOP thinks is evil and dehumanizing.
