Yes to the first two. For Paes, I think there are four MLS teams looking for a starting keeper and some fringe teams, like Houston, looking for an upgrade.

Your comments about a potential buyout echo the sentiment from 3rd degree; team seems more likely to retain Paxton.

I would love to hear Quill’s thoughts on a potential form for next season. I doubt he’ll provide a straight answer, but curious if he talks about one form over the other.

The guys on @soccerwisehq.bsky.social mentioned Justin Haak is likely to leave NYCFC, which could be a solid addition to the backline

I like the Collodi and Norris bets, interesting point about Farrington, and I hope they aren’t counting on Paxton for 30 games.

My outside the box thoughts: stay in the back three, trade for Luca Orrellano (CIN) and sign Justin Haak (NYCFC)

Amazing goal!!!!

I was disappointed to see Ibeagha’s option picked up. I still think he is a capable defense, but the cost just seems excessive. I think my disappointment was probably at the realization Zanotta is going to retain the CBs on the roster and not try to upskill the position.

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I also would like an improved travel schedule, where teams can play a Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday in an area, such as SoCal, Pacific Northwest, the south, etc.

The divisions idea is really interesting. I was thinking of something similar to help cut down on travel, while building more regionally focused rivalries. Curious what MLS’ version might be

Nolan has a great year and I hope he’s a regular starter next year
November 11, 2025 at 1:00 AM
I think that’s the reality. I think he still has value, but his salary is way too high, that I just cannot see him accepting such a massive cut.
November 7, 2025 at 5:43 PM
I think you can hold onto him. He’s not on a significant contract or occupying a key roster spot, certainly poor decisions made across the year, but there were also signs of potential. Don’t give up on him yet

Always appreciate your perspective Buzz. It was a fun game to watch, but but wrenching end.

Does Lalas’ correction change how you view his contributions? Until this point, we thought he was paid closer to Ibby, which I think is starting CB money.

Did y’all announce that in the podcast or were you just speculating and it was announced today?

Is this normal? A few names surprise me, but they also didn’t seem to spend any time with the first team this past year.
October 23, 2025 at 8:45 PM
That guy plays a full 90+. Love seeing his work ethic and those opportunistic runs forward that I’m hoping will cash in next year

Play the kids!!!! It was great seeing Quill’s trust in them to see it out.

Buzz and Peter were spot on

Good points on the Sarver no-call. I was one of the frustrated fans at Derbyshire in disbelief that it wasn’t called. However, good point about Sarver even showing a mild appeal.

I liked the shithousery comments too. Learning moment for all

With fixture congestion becoming more of an issue, should MLS expand rosters? Perhaps more DP or U22 spots too
October 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM
What’s your read on a potential buyout? I was assuming Paxton or Sali, but since the team didn’t use one in the last window, I think they only have one for the winter.

It sounds like Paxton fully expects to return with the team in 2026
October 6, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Totally agree with your thoughts about Paxton… this might be the last time
