I dunno, i saw posts getting bent out of shape about Europaposting, but in the end it was thousands of people taking somebody's idea for a setting and adding to it. I can't think of a purer form of play than that. War forever.

Gonna try to keep updates on what I'm reading/listening to going this year - my goal is to read one book per week. I don't usually pick up corporate/business stuff but a friend of mine recommended this highly so we'll see how it goes.

Got the Wolf Paw V1s from @v-art.bsky.social! They look fantastic and feel great to walk around with! Also, if you're cursed with giant feet like I am, the size 16s will comfortably fit size 18, which is incredibly blessed.

Something about plants growing over infrastructure that is still in use is so pretty. Maybe it's the visual metaphor for life continuing around obstacles, maybe it's just the combination of engineering and nature, but either way we should allow more of it

Some of the flowers/blooms coming in during late summer. We're slowly rewilding our lawn with pollinator friendly or native plants, and it's been really rewarding to see the insects come back!

One of our creatures has recently taken up hanging out on top of doors and like....
Pros: she is very cute and sweet and will frequently chirp at me to pet her
Cons: I am 6'6 and so hearing noise and then seeing eyed above me indoors is often a disorienting and startling experience

I am at the GOOFIEST drive thru I have ever seen. You can't enter via the part with an X, so you go through the big loop and pick up your order (horizontal line), then when leaving you either left turn across a blind corner with people entering or follow the mini loop at top. The FUCK??

Currently about to stay the night in a motel where the walls, curtains, headboard, and bedspread all clash with each other. The floor sinks under every step. The sink has previous occupants' hairs on the walls near it. If I get bedbugs I literally cannot complain.
