Old doesn't mean bad. Old, in software, often means that a lot of the bugs have been found and fixed. Sounds like you're being given a sales pitch based on "floppy disks ancient" incredulity.

Five years ago today we viewed our house. We were the last viewing of the day and were hurried out after 8 minutes. Three months later we moved in having had no chance at a second viewing. Weird, wild times.
